Eek! Let's try this again!

Hopefully these photos work! For some reason, my last post wouldn't let me edit! Not sure what's up with that!

Is the entire fireplace faux brick or is just the floor faux? I'm sure we can come up with something... You've decorated really cute!

It's just the floor that's faux. Thanks! I'm missing a few things, but can't run out and buy everything cuz that's not so frugal! Also really working on being done with credit and putting all my extra money towards that. Very close to being done :D

Do you think we should get a dark wood coffee table? I'm scared with Eli, but maybe an oval one would look nice and make it so he doesn't bonk himself on a sharp corner.

Sure, that would be nice. What I plan on doing in my place is instead of a coffee table have a ledge (kinda like at Keeler's Corner) to set your glass of water and whatnot and then have two square end tables that can be put together when we want to set up a board game or whatever. That way there's less of a head bonking issue. ;-) But an oval one would look nice too!

I liked your old cherry wood type one. It was very fancy looking. I really want a black entertainment center though, so maybe I ought to get a black coffee table if I get one. There's this weird wood that is basically black- look at the pic of my desk. That's actual wood, I just forget what they call it. I thought it was black at first, but upon closer examination, it's this weird reallllly dark brownish red color.

Mahogany?

I don't think that's what it's called- it's practically black! Maybe it is fake- hahahaha!! Seems pretty solid. Perhaps it's finished in a weird finish.

You can stain wood any color, really. Actual cherry wood is nothing like the cherry wood you always see, for example. Is it an ebony stain? Ebony is very very expensive but it's easy to stain something black and make it look expensive. ;-)
